Abstract

This study explores the duality of archetypes, focusing on the connection between Jungian psychology and tarot card symbolism. It examines how archetypes, both positive and negative, influence psychological development. Using the High Priestess card as an example, the study discusses how the reversed version of this card reflects the shadow side of the self, revealing hidden emotions and unresolved issues. The study also presumes the role of tarot as a tool for Self-Exploration, suggesting that by interpreting tarot symbols, individuals can engage with their unconscious mind. This process can help people confront repressed parts of themselves, promoting personal growth and psychological integration. Ultimately, the study shows how tarot readings can support Self-Awareness and emotional healing, aligning with Jung’s methods of active imagination and individuation.
